Hello everyone,
It is my honour to stand before you. My name is Dimitrios Papatsionis, born in 1797, in the humble village of Naziri in Messenia—a place small in size, yet vast in spirit.
Let me take you back not just to ancient ruins, but to a city I helped awaken from centuries of silence. I’m Petros Themelis an archaeologist by title but a storyteller at heart.
Yiannis Alevras (1912–1995) was born in Messini and served as President of the Hellenic Parliament (1981–1989). Exiled to Syros during the Regime of the Colonels, he is remembered for his integrity, responsibility, and broad respect across political lines.
